Magic Matt's back on the air in Southern California, one of the highest-rated afternoon personalities in the history of Los Angeles radio.
Magic Matt Alan (formerly of KIIS-FM) celebrates the fourth anniversary of his weekly national syndicated talk show by bringing it back to the airwaves of Los Angeles live from the Lighten Up Lounge in his backyard in the hills of Encino, beginning this Saturday, March 11, 2000, on KRLA Talk Radio 1110 AM at 3 p.m.
Alan said: "We're just a bunch of freedom-fighting fanatics determined to bring back a sense of fun to the pursuit of physical pleasure. We drink, we smoke, we interrupt each other, and we think Rob Reiner is a boob.
"We all have the right to choose our path of self-destruction, whether it's chocolate or fat cigars. The privilege to make bad decisions is a fundamental component of personal freedom."
Join Magic Matt, a.k.a. "Mr. Cigar," and his regular posse of outlaws including Jack Riley from Howard Stern's new sitcom "Son of the Beach" on FX. Riley is also the voice of Stu Pickles from "Rugrats," and perhaps best known as Mr. Carlin from "The Bob Newhart Show."
Also featured is the mayor of Encino, Ronnie Schell, of "Gomer Pyle" and a slew of other movies and television shows; and Sam Denhoff from "The Dick Van Dyke Show," "Mary Tyler Moore," "That Girl" and many others. Don't miss this eclectic group of characters and special celebrity guests every week on KRLA 1110 AM at 3 p.m.
